I am a sixth grader, as of a week ago. I think it's weird. Getting back on schedule is hard. I am getting used to it again, but i do think it awfully strange that my teachers give out more homework on Friday's than all the rest of the week...combined. I have band on Wednesday, and Friday. I have already been told by the orchestra members that any one in band is a 'band nerd' and in particular(to me, not band in general) when I told the person that I am now officially in band (i got my binder today) that i am a band geek. not geek nerd. that's all i have to say about that.
Any way, school is fun. I enjoy seeing my friends, and feeling tall-i finally grew this summer!-

School!

School starts again on Monday(the 24th). I am excited, nervous, and calm all at once (if that's possible) I will be starting sixth grade with lots of new teachers(to me) my homeroom teacher will be Mrs.Self. She was a substitute teacher for a while, then last year, she took over a teacher who left's job. I have had her as a substitute teacher a lot in the past (mostly kindergarten, though she teaches all grades) from what I remember, she is really nice :). I hope it all goes well, and I learn a lot(don't we all).
Other than that, life is normal.

Montana Family Reunion

You've probably already heard, but I'll tell you again, we(my family and I) went to Glacier National Park in Montana over the days of July 2nd-6th. During those days we hiked on a glacier, and we played with cousins, aunts, and uncles (as well as Grandpa :). And we also had delicious meals prepared by my talented aunts, we played at a lake, then went to the church to sing hymns.
All in all it was a very fun 5 day vacation. I will have pictures posted as soon as I can!

Father's day

Happy (late) Fathers day! hope everyone had a wonderful day, especially the fathers.

Storm!

Last night there was a huge storm, there were even tornado warnings. The power finally came on after being out for hours (from around 7:00 pm- 3:20ish this afternoon). Most of our neighbors had power, just not on our side of the street, and some of the houses across the alley. I've had several storms in my life, but that was really some thing for me at least (pounding rain, fierce winds, etc..)
